Regenerative Treatment

Platelet Rich Fibrin

Harness your body's natural healing power for tissue regeneration.

What Is Platelet Rich Fibrin?

Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) represents the next generation of autologous platelet therapy — an advancement beyond traditional PRP (platelet-rich plasma) that offers superior, more sustained regenerative effects. PRF is created entirely from your own blood, making it one of the most natural and biocompatible regenerative treatments available in aesthetic medicine today.

The key distinction between PRF and earlier PRP protocols lies in how the blood is processed. PRF is centrifuged at a lower speed without anticoagulants, which allows the blood to begin its natural clotting process. This creates a fibrin matrix — a scaffold-like structure that captures and holds platelets, white blood cells, and growth factors. Rather than releasing everything at once like PRP, this fibrin matrix slowly releases growth factors over the course of several days and weeks, extending the regenerative stimulus significantly.

PRF stimulates collagen production, promotes angiogenesis (new blood vessel formation), and accelerates cellular regeneration in the treated tissue. This makes it highly effective for facial skin quality improvement, under-eye rejuvenation when used as a liquid injection, hair follicle stimulation for hair restoration, and wound healing acceleration when combined with procedures like RF microneedling.

PRF can be used in liquid form as an injectable treatment or processed further into EZ Gel for added volumization. Our team will recommend the most appropriate PRF protocol for your specific goals at consultation.

What to Expect

Blood Draw

A small amount of blood — typically 2 to 4 vials — is drawn from a vein in your arm. The process takes only a few minutes and is performed using sterile technique in our clinical treatment suite.

Centrifuge Separation

Your blood is placed in a specialized centrifuge and spun at a precisely calibrated low speed without anticoagulants. This separates the blood into layers, concentrating the platelet-rich fibrin above the red blood cell layer.

PRF Preparation

The PRF layer is carefully drawn off and loaded into syringes for immediate injection. For membrane applications — such as when PRF is used with microneedling — the PRF may be allowed to clot into a membrane or processed into EZ Gel form.

Treatment Application

Your provider injects or applies the PRF to the targeted areas with precision. Treatment time depends on the application — standalone PRF injections take 20 to 30 minutes while combination treatments may take longer.

Results & Recovery

PRF results emerge progressively over weeks following each treatment session, reflecting the gradual, sustained release of growth factors from the fibrin matrix. Clients consistently report improvements in skin texture, tone, firmness, and overall radiance that deepen with each session in their treatment series.

For hair restoration applications, many clients begin noticing reduced shedding and early new growth within 2 to 3 months of their first session. Full hair restoration results are typically assessed at 6 months following a completed series.

Because PRF is derived from your own blood, there is no risk of allergic reaction or foreign body response. The treatment is exceptionally well-tolerated and the recovery experience is straightforward.

Recovery at a Glance

  • Downtime: Minimal — possible mild swelling or redness for 24–48 hours.
  • Results onset: Progressive tissue quality improvement over weeks after each session.
  • Recommended series: 3–4 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart.
  • 100% autologous: Created entirely from your own blood — zero foreign substances.
  • Combinable: Pairs well with RF microneedling, fillers, and neurotoxins.

Pricing

Pricing is discussed during your complimentary consultation. We'll create a customized treatment plan based on your individual goals.

PRF pricing varies depending on the number of vials processed and the areas treated. Package pricing is available for multi-session series, which we will present in full during your consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions

PRF is a concentrate of growth factors derived from your own blood. Unlike PRP, PRF forms a fibrin matrix that releases growth factors slowly over days to weeks, stimulating collagen production, angiogenesis, and tissue regeneration in a sustained, progressive manner.
PRF is processed at lower centrifuge speeds without anticoagulants, allowing it to form a fibrin matrix that captures platelets and growth factors within a scaffold structure. This matrix releases growth factors slowly over an extended period, providing more sustained regenerative effects than traditional PRP which releases its contents rapidly. PRF also contains a higher concentration of white blood cells and fibrin, contributing to improved healing outcomes.
PRF is used for facial rejuvenation and skin quality improvement, hair loss treatment and scalp health (androgenic alopecia), wound healing acceleration when combined with procedures like RF microneedling, and under-eye rejuvenation. In EZ Gel form, it also provides volumization for areas like the tear troughs and face.
Downtime is minimal. Some clients experience mild swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection sites for 24–48 hours, which is a normal part of the healing process. Most clients return to their normal activities the same day or the following day. For scalp PRF, slight tenderness at injection sites may persist for a day or two.
A series of 3–4 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart is typically recommended for optimal results. Hair restoration protocols may require 4–6 sessions with ongoing quarterly maintenance for best long-term outcomes. Results compound progressively with each additional session as collagen and tissue regeneration builds.
