What Are Neurotoxins?
Neurotoxins — including Botox (onabotulinumtoxinA) and Dysport (abobotulinumtoxinA) — are FDA-approved injectable treatments derived from botulinum toxin type A. When injected in precise, micro-doses by a trained aesthetic professional, these medications temporarily relax the targeted facial muscles responsible for creating dynamic wrinkles.
Dynamic wrinkles form when facial muscles repeatedly contract during everyday expressions — squinting, frowning, smiling, and raising your eyebrows. Aftercare
Avoid rubbing or massaging the treated area for four hours after your appointment. Remain upright for at least four hours and skip strenuous exercise for the remainder of the day. Results gradually emerge over the following days.
